Greetings from Whistler and Pemberton,
After such a beautiful fall, we are now seeing the real weather conditions as we transition into Winter. It’s snowing on the mountains and the meteorologists are predicting the third La Nina winter season in a row. Read more on this winter weather pattern La Nina, it’s going to be a cold snowy winter! As you can see from this market update, there has been 15 sales in Whistler and we know there are several others in the process. This is good news as true to history, we see more activity in the fall. The sales are generally coming from local people with a sprinkling of off shore buyers looking. We are finding this can be a good time for people who want to make a move within the resort to downsize, as there are buyer’s looking and some sellers are more negotiable as you can see there are 16 price adjustments in Whistler. Haloween in Whistler + Pemberton
Now celebrating their 39th year, Tapley’s Farm will again be the hub of Whistler’s Halloween celebrations on Oct 31st. Local residents will pull out all the stops to create a spooky and magical atmosphere to welcome around 1000 children from 5:30 – 8:00 pm in in Whistler’s longest running annual festival. A spectacular fireworks display on the lower fields of Myrtle Phillip Elementary school will be generously sponsored by Nesters and presented by the Whistler Fire Association, kicking off at 7:30pm.

Pemberton of course always puts on a great Halloween show as well in The Glen. Residents here go all out with decorations, music and fun, and of course lots of candy for everyone stopping by! The Pemberton Museum is hosting the “Haunted Museum of Horrors” this weekend Oct. 29 + 30, and the afternoon/evening of Oct. 31. Will we see you there!?
