The Turkey Sale weekend was a huge success again this year. Many of the retail stores joined the bandwagon and had there were 40-50% off signs all over the village. I heard from many people including my own family that they got some great deals. Last weekend for the bike park was also a huge success as well as the golf courses wrapping up for the winter. Next up, ski season!!
The year to date total number of sales in Whistler are down 26%, (716 vs 528) and activity in Pemberton is down approx.33% from last year at this time. Despite the drop in # of sales the values are still holding up with a 7% increase in Whistler and a 16% increase in Pemberton since the start of the year. It is good to note most of this occurred in the first half of the year. We have many buyers looking for the right type of property and as you know, our inventory is still really low. This week we have 32 new listings in all price ranges.
