Your weekly Whistler & Pemberton market update
Our hearts go out to the family and loved ones of the father and son who are missing in Pemberton since last Thursday. The local volunteers, search and rescue teams, RCMP, and Tribal Police are all working hard in hopes of bringing them home.
We had a taste of winter this week, our first beautiful snowfall, followed by freezing temperatures, and now rain. It will be good for the snow base on the mountains.
Staying close to home and keeping our bubbles small are our main objectives as the rise in the numbers of Covid 19 continues to grow. Wear your masks!
Whistler and Pemberton are seeing the highest increase in the number of sales in years. In Whistler, year to date there have been 113 chalets sales compared with 74 chalet sales in the 2019 year to date, an increase of nearly 35%. Townhouse sales this year to date are at 184 compared with 131 last year at this time. There is such a high for properties in both Whistler and Pemberton that our inventory is decreasing and it may soon be a seller’s market. Pemberton has very low inventory at this time due to buyers wanting to be more rural away from the city, people are buying up the Sea to Sky Corridor in search of more space. The buyers are mostly from the lower mainland and locals making a move. If you have questions on a specific segment just let us know, we are here to help!
