Greetings from Whistler,Hello from Smokey Whistler.. It is very sad and upsetting to see all of these fires burning, homes and animals at risk and smelling the smoke. Realizing that many fires are human error, how can people be so thoughtless. A huge thank you to all of the firefighters and workers trying to keep us all safe. We are hoping that the air quality will be better in the next few days so we can get back on the golf course and bike trails.In the last 5 days we have seen a fair bit of activity including 22 New Whistler Listings and 12 sales in Whistler. Pemberton is still doing well with 2 New listings and 3 sales. It is hard to find the perfect place for the buyers when our inventory is still low. This year at the end of June there are 114 Single Family Homes available compared with 132 in June 2014, down 13.6%. The Condo market is similar with 174 listings available this year compared with 194 last year, down 10.3%. Townhomes are down the most with 96 active listings 2015 vs 113 at the same time 2014, down 15%.
