Happy New Year from Whistler and Pemberton,
It’s a winter wonderland, the snow is falling, and there is more on the way – it is so beautiful and bright. The Village is truly magical with thousands of sparkling lights decorating the trees and walkways. We are loving it!
As predicted the listings and sales are lower this week as the Christmas Holidays take over families’ activities and real estate is put on the back burner. It is actually fairly normal numbers pre COVID-19, as 2 sales a day in Whistler would be an average market. The market activity has increased immensely because of the virus, it has forced people to work from home and they continue to realize Whistler and Pemberton are great places to call home. Families want to get out of the city, they are looking for space and the outdoor lifestyle. We expect the market to be quiet for the next couple of weeks as people recover from the holiday season and adjust to the new year. Due to the demand, our inventory is low but should pick up after the middle of the month. If you are thinking of buying or selling, let us know, we would love to hear from you.
