Greetings from Whistler and Pemberton,

I don’t think we have seen this much rain in all the 30 years I have lived in Whistler!  I usually don’t mind rain, but this is too long without sunshine. The golf courses have opened and the hardy golfers are out there hoping for a few good drives and putts.  The weather has put a damper for some on the biking and other outdoor sports, but I think indoor dining is thriving!  We can always eat and drink if we don’t play outside.  We are expecting lots of guests this May long weekend, if you are looking for things to do, check out the Whistler Insider Blog.  This is the first time in 2 years that the Farmers Market is back on the Upper Village Stroll, Sunday May 22nd,  11:00 am – 4pm, you will love it!

We are seeing a slightly softer market right now but that is par for the course in May and early June.  There has only been 9 sales in the past week, that’s slowing down compared to 23 sales in a week in Jan. and Feb. in the heat of the market.  The inventory is building up and we are now up to 154 listings in Whistler and 34 in Pemberton.  This is good news for the buyers, there is more to choose from and there are fewer multiple offers.  The market is still great,  If you would like a market evaluation on your property let us know, we are here to help you with your real estate needs.  For all you buyers that have been waiting for a little cooling period, this is happening in some segments of the market, let us know how we can help you find the perfect Whistler or Pemberton condo, townhome or single family home.

We are happy that spring is here and all of our favourite courses are open for play. We are so fortunate to have some of the world’s most beautiful courses in our backyard. Hopefully we will see some of you out on the links this season, or at least on the patio of one of their great club houses!
