Whistler and Pemberton Real Estate Market Update Feb 12.19

Happy Valentines Day and Happy Family Day on Monday! The weather outside is frightful, but the skiing has been delightful, apparently!  It has been too frigid for Tracey or me to go up. We are looking forward to getting back out there though, as the forecast for tomorrow says sunny -2, then sunny with clouds and -2 for Family Day weekend. This is now a statutory holiday across many of BC’s provinces. Have fun if you are planning to come up and enjoy Whistler this weekend.

Our office put on The View From Here 2 weekends ago and we do have videos to share with you on each of the speakers. Here is one from Helmut Pastrick who is the Chief Economist for Central 1 Credit Union, the umbrella organization for credit unions in BC and Ontario with 3.5 million members.

The inventory is starting to build up with a total of 302 listings in Whistler now, including the Shared Ownerships.  The ¼ share ownership is becoming quite popular again, families can buy a great condo in Whistler for ¼ of the price.  Take a look at the new listings we have just posted, if you are interested in any of them give us a call.  We hear that a few of them have offers already, so if you see a good one, don’t hesitate, call right away.

Pemberton has two reported sales this week, both of these have been on the market since Aug 2018 so it is good to see the inventory moving. We expect the listings inventory to increase as Spring approaches.
