Whistler & Pemberton Real Estate Market Update- October 2.18

Greetings from Whistler,

 It’s snowing in Whistler today!  Just letting you know the RCMP are going to be checking the cars for snow tires coming up the highway this weekend.  It is Thanksgiving Weekend in Whistler, also known as The Turkey Sale Weekend.  Check out the link, this Legendary Sale has everything from name brand Skis and Snowboards and equipment, clothing and The SWAP (the “Sale With Awesome Prices”) come early to get the best! They do put out new stock every day at the sale and almost every store and restaurant will have something on special. The sun is meant to come out on the weekend, we hope you enjoy a fabulous weekend with family and friends.

 Now down to the snapshot of what is going on in the Whistler market.  Tuesday is our Realtors tour morning where we go out and view about 10-12 new listings each week.  It’s the buzzing day of the week, chatting with other realtors about what’s happening out there. We have 17 new listings and sales are down to 11 this week. Pemberton market seems to be holding its own with limited inventory, especially in the single-family home department. There are a number of condo/townhome owners ready and waiting to make a move once they find the right place. Sunstone had a successful launch last weekend for phase 1B, single-family lots and will soon be launching their new townhome development. The previews definitely look pretty spectacular.
