Greetings from Whistler and Pemberton,
It has been a very wet week and a lot of devastation across the province to people’s homes, multiple highways, and sadly claimed at least one life. Two more people are still reported missing from the slide on the Duffey Lake Road between Pemberton and Lillooet. Our hearts go out to anyone affected by the atmospheric river that has pummeled the province.
For Whistler and Blackcomb this meant snow for the mountains with alpine temperatures sitting around -9. The mountains are set to open next Thursday, November 25th.
I was speaking with a client who owns two rental properties yesterday and she told me she is pretty much booked up already for the entire season! The numbers in the real estate market remain very tight as you will see below with sales more than double the new listings. Whistler is currently showing 120 active listings and Pemberton just 25.
