Greetings from Whistler and Pemberton,
Spring break is always a fun time of the year. The last 2 years of Covid, Spring Break was tough on the resort and the spirit of Whistler. Now that Covid restrictions have loosened up we are finally feeling the excitement, and the energy of the tourists and guests is well received. It’s fun to see all the kids heading out to ski school in the mornings and lining up for the pickup to go home. Now if we could just get some sunshine like last week in this beautiful picture, we would be very happy!
As you can see with this Week’s Market Update, we have 31 new listings in Whistler and 4 in Pemberton, this is another increase from the previous weeks. The market is changing as we mentioned last week. The more listings that come on the market, the buyers have more to choose from and the demand may soften. Typically this is the usual type of market in April and May, we are seeing it half way through March. It’s great for the buyers who are looking for their piece of paradise to call home. If you are seller, there is likely going to be more competition the longer you wait to list your property. Let us know if you are thinking of buying or selling, we are here to help you navigate this market.

Community Update:
March 20 marks the start of spring, and although Whistler has one of the longest ski seasons in North America (Blackcomb Mountain is open until May 23), we do love to feel the sun on our faces when we hit the hill and of course, during aprés. We have Insider Guides for you on how to best approach a spring ski day, and the all-important aprés celebrations afterward. Good to note is that as of March 5, valley upload shifts to the later time of 4 PM, which means more time to ski! Click here to read the full blog post from The Whistler Insider.
