Hello from Whistler!
Whistler’s Ironman days have come to an end for now. Lynne was the lucky one who actually housed the winner of the Pro-Woman category, Heather Wurtele. The Wurtele’s are long-time family friends and it is always fun to go out and cheer them on as well as all the other athletes. Congratulations to all participants!
Another annual occurrence takes place at Whistler’s Lost Lake Park, which acts as the breeding ground for Whistler’s largest population of Western Toad (Anaxyrus boreas), a sensitive species native to British Columbia. Every year, thousands of tiny Western Toads migrate from the shores of Lost Lake Park to the surrounding forest. This coming weekend, Wanderlust returns to Whistler with a full line up of events including some free ones. See the schedule here, there is always something for everyone.
