It has been quite a busy week for the mountains and real estate for Whistler and Pemberton!
We saw 15 sales this week between Whistler and Pemberton and 12 new listings. The new 3-day rescission period rule affects both Buyers and Sellers, it gives the Buyers three days (from the date of acceptance of an offer) to rescind an offer. This applies to all offers including subject free offers. If a Buyer decides to rescind, they do owe the Sellers 0.25% of the accepted offer price as a rescission fee. With the interest rates we are expecting another .25% increase in this week and then hopefully the rates will hold, as long as inflation continues to decline.
