Your weekly Whistler & Pemberton market update
We are happy to see a break in the smoke this afternoon in Whistler, the sun is peaking out and it is nice to see the mountains again. Sadly there are so many fires burning to the South of us and we are hoping everyone affected is able to find safe places to shelter themselves and their animals. Our activities are mostly indoors for now until the air quality improves. Reminder Sept 17th is the last day to get your pass credits and early bird prices. If you are unable to do online and are having trouble getting thru on the phone lines you need to call right at 10 am and ask to be put on the call back list.
What a week in real estate! There were 32 sales in Whistler this week including a waterfront home that sold for $16.6 ml and another home in the Southlands for $10.5 ml plus 2 more sales at almost $5 ml. Pemberton also outpaced sales to listings this week with 8 sales and 5 new listings. The prices may start edging up if our inventory does not keep pace with sales, but for now, it’s still a great time for buyers and sellers. There is pent-up demand from the spring, as well as people wanting to work remotely from home, so they need a bigger place. We anticipate a sustained strong level of sales throughout the fall.
