Thanksgiving is one of our favourite times of the year, not only because it’s Turkey dinner time but It’s the famous “Turkey Sale” where you get up to 50% off ski and board equipment and clothing, held at the base of Blackcomb and throughout Whistler. Unfortunately, the huge retail sale will not take place at the base of Blackcomb, but it will be held at Whistler Vail’s retail outlets and rebranded as the Whistler Blackcomb Season Kickoff Sale. The majority of Whistler retail stores will be offering similar discounts. Thanksgiving is family time, bring yours up to Whistler and enjoy the magic in the mountains. Now let’s tell you what’s really happening in the real estate market! We have been selling real estate for 27 years and this market tops them all! Sept. was one of the best months in terms of activity since 2016, Demand just keeps building since COVID lockdown ended. The 2nd quarter and the 3rd quarter so far are the highest totals we have seen in the last 2-3 years. It is the highest dollar volume ever achieved in sales for September, and Oct. is heading that way too. There is a dramatic increase in luxury transactions over $5 ml, 6 sales from $5 ml – $11,250,000 in the last week. Pemberton has had 16 sales in the last week, it’s hard to keep a single-family home or condo on the market for more than a week without an offer on it.
