The Whistler Question has officially put out its last issue and closed the door after 42 years of production. The Whistler Question is owned by Glacier Media who also owns the Pique Newsmagazine which is now going to be the only Whistler Newspaper. As Pat Kelly says, “there is no Question about it, we will miss the Whistler Question!”
Whistler is one of the only ski resorts in the world that has snow. It’s just amazing up there, a base of 321 cm and still snowing every day. The local skiers and boarders are saying they haven’t had this much great powder in years. Tracey and I skied the powder last week and had a great time.
The Whistler Real Estate Co. hosted “The View From Here” on Saturday at the Maury Young Arts Center. Over 200 seats were filled by our clients and colleagues who enjoyed the theme of “New Horizons” presented by 6 very influential speakers including Peter Sonntag the Chief Operating Officer of Whistler Blackcomb, from Vail Resorts, and Chief Dean Nelson, Political Chief of Lil’wat Nation. This presentation will be available by video once it has been edited. We will send out the link to you once it is available.
Whistler today has only 149 listings compared to an average of 500-600 listings. This is why, if you are thinking of selling, call us for a personal market evaluation of what your property would list at in today’s market conditions. The Pemberton market was certainly very active over the past week with 1 new listing and 7 sales. Currently, there are 39 active listings and 20 of them are vacant land.
