As the kids head back to school and we all adjust to new routines and schedules, there’s something invigorating about this time of year. The past weekend was a perfect send-off to summer, filled with fantastic entertainment, glorious weather, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors. For our family, a highlight was a spontaneous trip up the Sea to Sky Gondola. If you haven’t been, it’s an adventure well worth taking. Rising high above the clouds, the gondola offers breathtaking views of Howe Sound that are nothing short of spectacular. We spent our time exploring a few of the trails at the summit, each offering its own unique perspective of the stunning landscape. It was a perfect way to soak in the beauty of nature before diving into the busyness of the school year. If you’re looking for a quick escape that feels worlds away, I highly recommend it!
This past week in Whistler, we observed an uptick in property viewings, although there has been continued hesitation in the number of offers being made. With the Bank of Canada’s next rate announcement scheduled for tomorrow morning, there is speculation that we may see a 0.5% rate drop, continuing the downward trend. We anticipate that market activity may remain subdued for the next week or two however, as we transition into the fall season, we are optimistic that buyer interest will pick up, leading to increased activity in the market.
