Well, it is happening… Whistler and Blackcomb are opening on Thursday the 23rd! “Lifts will begin spinning at 8:30am and include Blackcomb Gondola, Excalibur Gondola (download required), Excelerator, Jersey Cream, Catskinner; Whistler Village Gondola (download from Roundhouse required), Red Chair, Emerald, Franz’s and Creekside Gondola (download required). PEAK 2 PEAK will also be spinning on Opening Day, connecting our two magnificent mountains. Our early season terrain package includes Wishbone, Choker, Easy Out and Lower Catskinner on Blackcomb and Upper Ego Bowl, Extension/Family Zone, Upper Whiskey Jack, Pig Alley, Orange Peel, Papoose, Lower Pony Trail Bypass/ Cat Track, and Mid Pony Trail Road/ Upper Bear Cub Road on Whistler.” Sunshine in the forecast for opening weekend yet we are all hoping for more new snow soon.Real estate in Whistler has been moving along at a consistent and somewhat balanced pace although we are still seeing some price adjustments. There are people looking for the right property with what seems to be a heavier focus on those with the rental zoning. Today’s real estate tour was more residential focussed, we viewed some beautiful homes from Cheakamus to Emerald. Pemberton remains a little quieter although there are a couple of townhomes under offer.
