We trust that everyone had a delightful Halloween celebration! Whistler and Pemberton were bustling with activity as trick or treaters reveled in the festivities. Some precipitation is in the forecast for this week, and it’s highly likely that fresh snow will grace the mountain peaks. The snowmaking equipment is operating tirelessly to establish a solid bade, and we have November 23rd as the anticipated opening day for the 2023/2024 season.
The market is showing us somewhat balanced numbers as you can see in the links below for the past 7 days. The Underused housing Tax deadline has been postponed until April 30th/2024 which we are sure was a bit of a relief for all of the accountants trying to get the forms filed for the October 31st deadline. Karen Garret from Dominion Lending’s latest update was “On October 25th, the Bank of Canada announced it is holding its target for the overnight rate at 5%! The next announcement is coming up in December, but experts expect the Bank of Canada to continue holding for the time being. It is expected rates will begin to drop mid-2024 with the expectation of interest rates landing somewhere around 4% at the end of next year.”
