This week’s numbers are slightly lower than the past few weeks, likely due to the long weekend as families enjoyed some extra time off. This trend aligns with the usual pattern of having more listings than sales in Whistler and Pemberton at this time of year. Real estate tours have been very busy, keeping up with the influx of new properties hitting the market recently. Starting June 25th, Canada’s capital gains tax for individuals will see 50% of any capital gains up to $250,000 recognized as taxable income, with amounts over $250,000 seeing a 67% recognition as taxable income.
