Bluebird skies, smiley faces, and some chili temperatures were the stories from the mountains this past weekend. Whistler hosted the BMW IBSF World Championships 2019 and they continue March 7-9th. The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation’s Charity Fundraiser celebrated their 26th year hosting the “Havana” themed mountain top gala event on Whistler Mountain. The Whistler Blackcomb Foundation is a major supporter of multiple non-profit charities throughout the corridor. Check out the link if you are interested in getting involved or learning more!
Real Estate in Whistler is consistent and we are seeing some great new listings hit the market in all price points. Numbers for this past week are similar to what we have been seeing for new listings however, there were 24 price changes. Sellers are realizing they need to be priced right, with the inventory creeping up this will become more important, to be priced for the current market. 8 of these properties have been on the market only between 25-55 days and the other 16 have been on 75-410 days. Some are very unique properties OR were listed last year in a different market. Currently, in Whistler, we are sitting at 314 listings and Pemberton at 69 listings which are still very low for inventory overall.
