Greetings from Whistler, It feels like Juneuary up in Whistler today! June is one of the busiest months for families and thus it is usually a slower month for real estate in Whistler. Most families are so busy doing year-end Graduations, signing their kids up for camps and planning their summer holidays, they do not have their minds on real estate. The market is basically the same as last week. Another 22 new listings and 16 sales are not bad for this time of the year. We have many buyers who have been waiting for a cooler market and this is it. The prices are being reduced as you can see by our last few market updates. Since we started selling real estate in Whistler 25 years ago, we have seen several high point surges in prices along with market slowdowns. Our biggest highlight years were 2002, 2007 and 2017 through the first quarter of 2018. The market is slowing down now, but it is still a great time to buy or sell real estate in Whistler or Pemberton.
