Everyone continues to rave about the weather, we don’t remember having such a beautiful Fall as we have now. Thanksgiving weekend was absolutely fabulous, everyone was so thrilled to be celebrating with family and friends in the sunshine. The time has come, the golf courses are closed for Whistler and Pemberton, and the bike park and lifts are closed, it’s time to prepare for the ski season, that is exciting to think about to!
Cornucopia, Whistler’s Celebration of Food and Drink begins on Nov. 4th, check out the schedules and book early for these events that wrap up on Nov. 27th. The opening day for Whistler Blackcomb is Nov. 25th, American Thanksgiving weekend. Let the fun begin!
The real estate market has been quiet over the last holiday weekend with only 6 sales in Whistler and 4 sales in Pemberton in the last week. This is not unusual on a Thanksgiving weekend when people are shopping at the 50 % off Turkey Sale for their new ski and board equipment. It was a particularly happy time this year as it was the first Thanksgiving in the past 2 years of Covid restrictions that we were allowed to celebrate together. We expect the market will see a little higher demand as we look forward to the beginning of the ski season. The Whistler Market has had its last day, but there are still three weeks left for the Pemberton Market every Friday from 3:00 – 6:00 pm. There are tons of apples, veggies, meats and other delicious jams, pastries and treats. We always recommend a visit if you are in town!
