Hello from Whistler!
The BC Cup Downhill bike race was held on Whistler Mountain this past weekend. Tracey’s oldest, Lucas Cruz, won his category and had the overall fastest time of the day and her middle son, Tegan, still pulled off fourth place after a crash. The race drew 162 competitors, both kids and adults from all over the lower mainland, the sunshine coast, Alberta, and Seattle. The weather held and the race was a huge success!
It is Canada Day Long Weekend this weekend. Check out all the events happening, including a parade through the village on Monday, July 1st. If you are looking for an adventure, I would suggest you add a trip to the Suspension Bridge on the Peak of Whistler Mountain. The Cloudraker Skybridge and the Raven’s Eye Cliff Walk are now open for you to explore. I highly recommend this, but make sure you dress appropriately and have the proper footwear. It is not for the faint of heart but it certainly will thrill you with breathtaking views of the mountains and valley.
As you can see, the real estate market is a little slower right now, but this is typical of this time of the year. Families are busy with year-end sports days and Grad celebrations etc. and don’t have as much time for real estate. There are 16 great new listings in Whistler and 5 for Pemberton.
