Greetings from Whistler and Pemberton,

Winter is moving along in Whistler, with steady activity on the mountain and a familiar mid-season rhythm returning to the village. Late January tends to be a transition point, as the pace normalizes after the holidays and attention turns to the rest of the winter season.

This week also marks one of Whistler’s most vibrant annual celebrations. The Whistler Pride Festival is on now and runs through February 1, bringing a mix of on-mountain meetups, après-ski events, performances and community gatherings. Pride Week adds an extra layer of energy to the resort and is a reminder of the diversity that shapes the our community.

From a real estate perspective, the market is starting to re-engage after the seasonal holiday pause. We often see activity begin to build through late January and February as buyers return with clearer timelines and sellers start planning for the year ahead. While winter is typically a quieter period, it often sets the foundation for the spring market. The Pemberton market has shown strong activity this past week with viewings and offers written.

If you’re thinking about buying, selling, or simply staying informed about what’s happening in Whistler or Pemberton as we move further into 2026, I’m always happy to connect and share insight on what I’m seeing locally.
