If you are looking for something exciting to do this weekend, register for the Tough Mudder Whistler June 18th and 19th at the Whistler Olympic Park! This is probably one of the toughest events held in Whistler. Tough Mudder’s will have a 10-12 mile mud and obstacle course designed to drag you out of your comfort zone.
The number of transactions in Whistler and Pemberton dropped from 137 in April to 83 in May, we will see what June adds up to, this is still 8% higher than a year ago at this time.
Overall the velocity of business in Whistler and Pemberton is up for the year to date. There have been a total of 576 reported transactions so far as compared to 360 last year , that equates to60% increase in activity year to year..
Of course that leads to an increase in reported total transaction value as well; the total value of transactions are up also at approximately 60% as compared to last year at $475,599,000 this year to date as reported on WLS.
Not surprisingly prices have jumped and overall are up 11.6% since the start of the year based on reported sales. Average sale price of a single family in is now $2,081,243, a condo $408,060, a townhouse $945,208 and lots were $1,245,639 . It is a tough market for everyone except the sellers!
