Hello from Whistler!
Canada Day Celebrations were very special in Whistler and Pemberton this year. The day started with a fun parade progressing through Whistler village, lots of people dressed in red shirts with the white maple leaf, carrying flags and singing O Canada. In the evening, there was a spectacular free concert starring “The Three Tenors” at the Olympic Plaza. This coming weekend, children will delight at the festivities of the Whistler Children’s Festival, held at the Olympic Plaza. There are arts and crafts activities, theatre, dance, magical performances, and music.
This week has continued to lag in real estate sales, yet the inventory continues to build. Whistler has 325 listings now including shared ownership. As we said last week, it is typically a time when sales are slow due to end-of-school-year activities and the beginning of the summer holidays for families. Having said that, if you want to sell your property, this is the best time to put it on the market. The days are brighter and longer and the flowers and greenery will help to show off your home.
