Whistler & Pemberton Market Update – July 25.23

Wow, today was a chilly day, lots wind and rain here in Whistler, but apparently the place to be was Pemberton, short sleeve golfing weather!  As I was out and about today, I noticed quite a few USA license plates, here for Crankworx, the big event here in Whistler right now with athletes from all over the world competing for a spot on the podium, click on the link and you will find the schedule. Lucas, Tegan and Levi Cruz have all been competing – up until Lucas sadly fractured his Talus in multiple places so he will be sitting out World Championships and potentially an upcoming World Cup or two. Tegan raced his way to second place in the Canadian Open DH on the new 1199 track in memory of another Canadian legend, Stevie Smith! Levi had a fabulous race on B-Line with 68 other 11-12 year old boys. Lots more excitement to come including the Dual Slalom, Pump Track Challenge. Speed and Style, Joyride, Enduro and more. The real estate market is moving along with 16 new listings in Whistler and 3 in Pemberton, 12 sales in Whistler and 0 sales in Pemberton.  Noticeably, there are 8 price adjustments in both Whistler and Pemberton, this is an indication the market is changing and the sellers are reducing their prices to get their properties sold,  makes it a good time to buy.  Sellers may be more negotiable if they have been on the market for awhile. However, if a property is priced right, and it’s a good one, it will be snapped up in 1 or 2 days, we are even still seeing some multiple offers!  Currently there are 231 active listings in Whistler and 83 in Pemberton and area.
